The mission trip to Uganda was overwhelming and the impact enormous. In a short time we were able to do a great deal by God’s grace. The ministry team of 70 workers is growing and becoming more and more mature in its range of tasks.
As Bread for the Hungry Ministries, we feel called to reach out to people who long for a hopeful future.

Report on our latest mission trip to Uganda
We look back with gratitude on the days of our mission trip to Uganda: days with an open heaven, in which all kinds of things happened. Every service and every seminar was impactful and the notepads were filled.
News update of 8 February – On the way back from Entebbe: mass conversions and healings continue
Waiting in Entebbe for our flight at 00:40, we hear the first testimonies from yesterday. There are now 240 converts and testimonies of hundreds of healings. In addition, more than 500 people were baptised yesterday and today, something that will be in full swing over the coming month. We are quiet and grateful for what happens when…
News update of 7 February – God’s Work Today in Full Power
Today was once again an overwhelming and blessed day in which God’s Kingdom visibly broke new ground. The messages were received with open hearts, and we realised once more how powerfully God has destined His church to be a place where He dwells and works in the midst of His children. His love reached out to both the youngest and the oldest.
Projects
Uganda
Three years ago we came into contact with a small group of believers deep in the interior of eastern Uganda. A place without light or water, entirely under the grip of witchcraft. There were only 20 believers, discouraged and burnt out, who really wanted to give up. The message Gerard van Amerongen brought then touched the listeners, and many bystanders gave their lives to Jesus.

Kenya
In eastern Uganda, around Bukobo, a powerful revival has arisen through evangelism and the conversion of several witch doctors; after a period of despair and the dominance of witchcraft, the number of believers grew within two years from 20 to more than 15,000, with new people coming to faith and being baptised every week.

Leadership team
The leadership team is a trio, two of whom lead a church. They are supported by a team of 35 powerful workers. This number must grow to at least 100 so that we can start cell groups everywhere, plant churches and give further shape to the revival. Time is pressing and the harvest is enormous. We thank the Lord that we literally see that the book of Acts is still relevant today, and that the Holy Spirit works with wonders and signs so that His Word grows, disciples rise up and the harvest is brought in. It is wonderful to be able to do this together with many believers.
